Thanks for this hyperlocal analysis! I write about NYC too (worked in city gov for a decade) and have been looking for the NYC political substacks and the algorithm gods delivered me to you! Glad to connect.
Excellent analysis! I’m in Park Slope. Not sure what my neighbors are doing. I’m torn on ranking. For me, Mamdani inspires. Landers is a local and experienced. I think Mamdani has vision but concerned about his lack of government experience so I’m leaning Landers as number 1. No Cuomo. I’m disappointed that Dem establishment is no better than the Republican establishment. Cuomo resigned for good reason and he’s looking for redemption for himself. Also he’s status quo which is why big money is helping him.
It's Dems like Cuomo who paved the way for King Trump. But keep that quiet because Chuck Schumer doesn't want anyone in the Slope to know why he's worth $85 million, nor how much in kickbacks from Israel he has in his Swiss Bank Account.

I can only speak from my narrow cohort of neighbors and friends, some pro-Lander, some pro-Cuomo, others politically exhausted… Mamdani has motivated them, let’s say alienated by him and ask me location of early voting site, …why? his perceived pro-Hamas bias …
Ramos is probably tired of trudging to Albany, if Cuomo wins she’ll end up in his administration
We will be rid of Jessica Ramos soon. Either she will pay for her outrageous endorsement (what woman would support a wannabe rapist) of Cuomo, or she will take the position you can bet he offered her should he win.
Let's hope it's the first choice, and she can take a hike.
Ultimately, the question will be: will the Dem institution change with the times (Mamdani, rent freezes) or not. Richie Torres said he wouldn't run for Governor if Mamdani wins because that means the city would've changed too much for him to win. Yes, the city has changed. But I think people want something new. I'm sure a lot of people across the boroughs have felt ignored by citywide offices. I mean, just last year the messaging from Dems was that the economy is better than ever. Whereas, Mamdani's campaign has pushed affordability to the center. Either way, we're in for an interesting July.

To paraphrase Hell Gate, your substack is truly the star of this election. Great piece and an excellent analysis.
That's very kind. Thank you so much !
Incredible and informative political analysis as always! Such an impactful blend of data sharing and storytelling. Go Zohran!

Richie Torres should move to Tel Aviv, where he can continue to fellate his kosher gente.
NYC needs a tough REPUBLICAN…CUOMO KILLED THE ELDERLY IN NURSING HOMES WITH THE COVID PANDEMIC
