I have taken the Substack plunge

Hi, my name is Michael Lange. For years I have been a political organizer in New York City politics. Having just graduated college, I was faced with the daunting question of what I wanted to do with my future. I am blessed with many interests, but knowing exactly what to do is difficult. What I did know was that I love New York City, and the political orbit that encompasses it. I knew whatever I decided to pursue, I had to center those passions. With that in mind, I am choosing to pursue writing. The City has countless characters and stories I want to help bring to life. Most importantly, I want to blend in my own analysis and predictions about where New York City, and the emerging Leftist movement inside it, is headed. My goal is to offer something that is valuable and insightful to the most seasoned political operatives, whilst still being worthwhile and enjoyable to people not in tune with the everyday workings of city politics. Substack gives me the freedom to also write about my other passions, and, while the newsletter will focus on New York City, I will undoubtedly write about the NBA and the Buffalo Bills along the way. This journey will not be easy, and I have big goals for this project. To reach them, I will need your help.
